A commitment to social responsibility is important to Ambassador Tea's identity and purpose. As a we see communities that require much help in our country we have joined together with Mission Rainbow's "HARVEST IN" project and have finanically been a great contributer to the work done by them.

"Harvest In"

Harvest In was a project done by Mission Rainbow a non-profit organisation that was established during the 2006 Tsuanmi to join with the real need for helping the homeless and desolate people in our country. Since then Mission Rainbow expanded into other areas.

Harvest In is a project based in Embilipitiya where employment is given to the locals to grow organic vegetables to be sold in Colombo and money sent back to the people in Embilipitya. There is more scope with this project where homes, educational institutes and a hospital to be built for the people in Embilipitya.  

47 acres land – 13 acres drip irrigated and planted with coconut seedlings. Expecting to under crop with Papaya, Banana, Ginger, Pineapple, Passion fruit and all kinds of fruit and Vegetables.
