Not only is Sri Lanka renowned for it's excellence in tea (CeylonTea) throughout the world but it is also recognized amongst the first in Asiain the tea bagging and packaging industry.
Our experience in Perfecta,Constantaand IMA and MiI S.A machinery is unrivaled. We at Ambassador Tea are pioneers in the industry having set up Sri Lanka's first tea bagging line almost 40 years ago using the world renowned Constanta tea bagging machinery for Akbar Brothers (Pvt) Ltd, where M. N. de Lanerolle, Chairman of Ambassador Tea was also responsible for the subsequent expansion of the plant up to 18 Constantas and 1 Perfecta.
Together with his brother Mohan de Lanerolle went onto be in the forefront of setting up tea bagging plants. They personally installed the majority of tea bagging plants in Sri Lanka.
More recently in 2004 Ambassador Tea was responsible for building, operating and transferring a 4000 square meter plant in the Middle East with an annual production capacity of 530 million tea bags and 20 million kg of loose packs.
We are proficient and experienced in the setting up of the simplest and cost effective one machine plants to the most sophisticated state of the art operations.
